Region: Finca Vistalba, Upper Mendoza River – Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina

Style: Richly textured and full bodied red wine.
Foods: Can be enjoyed with lamb or in line with its country of origin a good steak.
Varieties: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Colour: Ruby red colour with violet highlights.
Nose: Strong notes of spice and red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry.
Palate: Well structured wine with lively fruit flavoured and recognisable tannins.
Winemaking: This wine is 80% aged in stainless steel tanks and 20% in French oak barrels over 8 months. It is then bottled and aged for another 6 months before it is released into the market. The harvest is carried out during the coolest hours of the morning into 20kg bins. Hand selection and destemming takes place at the winery, before fermentation via gravitational uploading (avoiding the use of pumps).
All grapes are hand harvested from old vines, most planted around 1948. Vineyards sit 950m above sea level and good climatic conditions allow the winery to maintain vineyards almost naturally with almost no fitosanitary treatment. During the vegetative season there is a difference of temperature between day and night of 15C allowing for excellent colour and tannin development.
